Teaching and Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Following the example of the Uganda Martyrs who gave their lives for the faith

Worship and Prayer

Join us for Mass and devotional prayers

Holy Mass

We celebrate the Holy Eucharist regularly, offering Mass in both English and Luganda. The Mass is the source and summit of our Christian life, and we invite all to join us at the table of the Lord.

Rosary Devotion

We gather to pray the Holy Rosary, meditating on the mysteries of Christ's life. The Rosary is a powerful prayer that brings us closer to Jesus through the intercession of Our Lady.

Bible Study

Our Bible study groups explore Sacred Scripture together, deepening our understanding of God's Word and learning to apply it to our daily lives in practical ways.

The Uganda Martyrs

Witnesses of Faith and Courage

The 22 Catholic Uganda Martyrs were young men serving in the court of King Mwanga II of Buganda. When the king ordered them to renounce Christianity, they refused. Their leader, St. Charles Lwanga, baptized several catechumens the night before their execution, ensuring they would die as Christians.

The youngest martyr, St. Kizito, was only 13 years old. As they walked to their place of execution at Namugongo, he laughed and played, showing no fear. When his fellow martyr asked why he was so joyful, Kizito replied that he was going to meet God.

On June 3, 1886, thirteen young men were burned alive. As the flames rose, they prayed and encouraged one another. Their final words were prayers of forgiveness for their executioners and songs of praise to God. Their sacrifice inspired countless conversions and established the Catholic Church firmly in Uganda.

"A well that has many sources never runs dry. When we are gone, others will come after us."

St. Charles Lwanga
