Keeping our traditions alive through vibrant celebrations
The Kingdom of Buganda is one of the oldest and most prominent traditional kingdoms in East Africa. With a history spanning over five centuries, Buganda has a sophisticated system of governance, rich cultural traditions, and a strong sense of identity.
The Kabaka (King) is the cultural and spiritual leader of the Baganda people. Our kingdom's capital, Kampala, is now the capital of Uganda. The Buganda people are known for their hospitality, respect for elders, and strong family values.
In the diaspora, we work to maintain these values and ensure that our children understand the proud heritage they carry. From traditional naming ceremonies to cultural festivals, we keep the spirit of Buganda alive.
